All SBA people have worked together for many years and provide experience in senior management roles and relationships, employee research, workshop facilitation, coaching, communications and analysis — the key elements of developing a great employer brand. Plus Mergers and Acquisitions where every element of that is needed (ideally before completion).

I have worked for many great employers in my time among them Chanel, Mercedes-Benz, Hiscox, Invesco Perpetual, Vestey Group, Freshfields and the Israeli Pharmaceutical leader Teva. These in particular demonstrated the hallmarks of determined and visible leadership, clarity of purpose and the ability to inspire loyalty and engagement (including that from their suppliers).

Compared to the massive coverage re costs, legal, senior leaders, recalls and impact on customer trust, respect and health, the workforce impact has not got the comment it deserves.
Too many Etonians may be toxic for a one nation Tory cabinet but why should employers care where their talent comes from?
As the Referendum date gets nearer, I suspect a corporate line of ‘no view’ will become untenable. Why not reveal your stance earlier than later (and rather lamely) when so many bolder employers will be ahead of you?
Regaining the trust of 70m US voters, how can they be all that they can be? The need for a New Deal and new thinking to unify a great country.
There was nothing on management communications or employee research. Barings management were flying blind on the people issues as well as the financial controls.
UK Politicians – an abject failure in Employer Brand Management. Has anyone ever even tried?
The No. 1 success factor is the presence of a superbly talented individual. Such people can transform the employer brands of great corporates too. Be one of them and when you see the case for a better way stand up and make it.
It is the lack of that emotional power which makes this Government initiative so challenging. It is entwined with politics and divisions and it fails to state the vision and aim which will inspire the target audience.

Employer Brand Conference – Sofia, 4th November 2016

Employer Brand Management conference on 4th November in Sofia, at which Simon is running four sessions for the business community in Bulgaria — EB development, understanding and engaging your people, initiating change and winning senior management approval.

Exercises will include an assessment of the brand of Bulgaria now an EC member.
