Health Education East of England’s School of General Practice recently welcomed SBA to their Spring Symposium to describe the Employer Brand approach focussing on how it might contribute to attracting more doctors into general practice. After reading current NHS, GPC and BMA papers plus undertaking qualitative research with a range of doctors, Simon Barrow made the keynote speech to GP educators at the Symposium followed by several workshops on the themes which emerged. Building on the success of this innovative approach to the problem of GP recruitment and retention, SBA was then invited to speak at the United Kingdom Conference of Educational Advisers (UKCEA) spring conference to further develop this approach.
