The Talent Brand Alliance conference in London 15-18 October 2019
A group from Texas – the Talent Brand Alliance – have asked me to speak at a workshop they are organising in London on 17th October and have suggested I do this short video about what I am going to say. It may encourage some of you to come along.
The driver for this event is how to improve the attraction and recruitment of relevant people to an organisation.
That is a vital role but they have asked me to add my thoughts on the broader need for Employer Brand management: Here are four themes
1. The target that really matters is existing employees. It’s everything that makes up their experience – THAT is what creates an Employer Brand.
2. You cannot you spin your way there. Reputation is based on reality and Work is about life itself. your identity, your self esteem, your future.
3. The essence of Employer Brand Management is to bring the best of brand management to people at work – planning, research, innovation, measurement and coherence. The work on attraction is not separate. It is part of overall EB Management.
4. Career development. Given the massive and complex challenges of people motivation and management today this area should be a springboard for bigger roles. I’ll be sharing some ideas.
It’s not just me – there are speakers from Intel, Danone, Unilever, Booking.com, N26, and Link Humans, and attendees from across the Europe and companies including Harrods, GE, Screwfix, Deutsche Telekom, Roche, and Lloyd’s Register.
It’s at the Andaz Hotel on Liverpool St London EC2M 7QN
For tickets go to the Talent Brand website and apply. The organisers are generously giving a 20% discount if you put in the code ‘imwithsimon’.
